Levees breaking in NV. Reno is under 3 ft of water. I guess the storm has moved past. However, there is still another system on the way.
So, while it is wet outside, guess what I will be doing...
STOP CALLING AND ASKING IF I AM LONELY!!!!
Maybe Shasta is lonely. But I'm not. It is football season. The American kind of football and there was one bowl game and 2 playoff games today. Do you think I am lonely??? Ask my wife. It's a normal Sunday at home. I'm watching the TV (more on this later) you see (above) for the last few weeks. The dog is sleeping because it's a nice day to sleep and my wife may either be sleeping, or she may be shopping or ... she may be out of the country. Whatever the case, it is a VERY NORMAL sunday. So, STOP CALLING AND F**KING ASKING ME IF I AM LONELY.
Now, back to the real intentions of this blog.
As predicted yesterday, Jessica missed her connecting flight when she got to Narita. She was put up at an airport hotel and she called me this morning at about 10am. That was after everyone else in the world had called to find out where she was (I don't know, she has not called) or to find out if I was lonely (I AM NOT, now, F**K OFF and let me watch my TV). It was like 4am Tokyo time but I guess she was suffering from jet lag. Anyway, she was placed on a 10am flight to arrive in Singapore at 5pm. So, as I am typing this, she is about an hour and a half from touch down in Singapore. So, that's how we both are...
Back to my TV. It's a Christmas (or was it birthday) gift in 2006. It's a 50 inch rear projection HD TV. Besides spending time with my wife and my dog, the TV is possibly the next in line. You know, the TV might actually give them both a run for their money. And yes, it is possibly the thing I'm going to miss most because my wife and dog WILL BE in Singapore, but my TV won't!!! I would like to thank Johnnie for buying the TV from us. I know the TV has a good home. AND, I know the TV will get to enjoy the same football season as it has for the last 2 years because.... Johnnie spends his weekends the same way as I do during football season. Thanks Johnnie and Narisa!!
Also, today, I told the guy who is supposed to buy my car to take it away. The buyer of my trusty '95 Honda Accord with 165,000 miles is Jessica's co-worker's brother. I told him to take it away because they are doing some work to the garage and want all cars out of there. So, he came to take it away today. Here is the kicker though... we sold a stick shift to someone who doesn't know how to drive a stick shift. I guess he made it home fine because he e-mailed me earlier this evening. I have no guilt. I wasn't the one that offered the car to him. Go look for my wife and her co-worker. I'm NOT the conman who sells glasses to the blind man.
Anyway, besides that, I had to rest, so... I spent the day resting... on the couch watching football.
I will try to encourage Jessica to add to the blog about her first few days in Singapore...
later...
