Jessica and I had never gone on a vacation which was booked entirely as a tour before. We have heard good and bad... mostly bad.
However, all things considered, our trip was good.
It was an 8 day tour of Jiangnan (the region which included Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi). The first day was tough.
We departed from Singapore at 1:15am on Sat, Dec 13.
We arrived in Shanghai at about 6:30am that same day with about 2-3 hours of sleep on board and the tour had already started. Off we went on the Maglev train.
Every night up till the 5th night we had to change hotels, that was a little tough too.
Day 1, Sat, Dec 13 - Arrive in Shanghai and after half a day and lunch in Shanghai, we headed for Suzhou. Spent the night in Suzhou.
Day 2, Sun, Dec 14 - Spent half a day more in Suzhou before heading for Hangzhou. Spent the night in Hangzhou.
Day 3, Mon, Dec 15 - Spent half a day in Hangzhou before departing for our longest ride yet. 4 hours to Nanjing. Spent the night in Nanjing.
Day 4, Tue, Dec 16 - Spent half a day in Nanjing and then headed for Wuxi. Spent the night in Wuxi.
Day 5, Wed, Dec 17 - Spent half a day in Wuxi and then headed back into Shanghai. The next few days we would be in Shanghai.
Day 6 - 8, Thu, Dec 18 - Sat, Dec 20 - Shanghai, free and easy.
Sat, Dec 20. Depart for Singapore at 4:30pm.
